- Eligible Models: 1995–2011 Crown Victoria, Mercury Grand Marquis, or Lincoln Town Car (1995).
- Engine and Transmission:
- 4.6L only, OEM cast iron blocks only. No aftermarket racing parts. Radiator must contain water only; the use of antifreeze will result in a $100 fine if found on the track. Exhaust must exit behind the driver to the side or rear of the car.
- Transmission and torque converter (stock size) for a Crown Victoria, Mercury Grand Marquis, or Lincoln Town Car (1995).
- Rear end: OEM parts, maximum gear size 3.73.
- Brakes: Must be stock OEM. Drilled rotors permitted. No scalloped rotors.
- Frame and Suspension:
- No altering of frame or suspension. Shocks and springs can only be replaced with OEM-style replacements. (You can cut two 2″ holes above rear shocks to access the top shock nut.) No chassis-limiting devices front or rear.
- Caster and camber: May be adjusted as factory adjustments allow. No cutting or welding of parts.
- Roll Cage:
- Must have a minimum of 4 main cage down bars (perimeter cage only) installed through frame rails and welded securely to the top of the frame. Welds will be inspected.
- Minimum required cage bars are as follows: 4 driver-side door bars, 2 passenger-side horizontal bars with 1 diagonal, 2 rear hoop-horizontal, 1 front-horizontal, 1 from rear to front center of cage. Minimum means add some bars for safety; keep in mind what’s legal at other tracks so you can travel.
- 3½” diameter steel rods/tubes located in front of the driver from halo to horizontal bar. (Add screen/mesh if no windshield is used.)
- Driver’s door plate may be welded to the outside of door bars or between bars; use ¼” steel plate.
- Seating and Safety Belts:
- Racing seat is mandatory with a 5-point harness. (A full containment racing seat is highly recommended.) Belts can be no older than their expiration date. All new belts have the date they expire printed on them; they must be changed by then. A properly mounted window net is mandatory (no mesh nets). The latch for the window net should be in the upper front corner.
- All minors must have a full containment seat and wear a head and neck restraint device (HANS or equivalent). Minors will not race without these—no exceptions! Safety equipment is very important; spend your money on good-quality items.
- Body and Interior:
- All cars can remove the wiper motor, all air conditioning boxes, and related parts. The compressor can be removed, and a shorter belt installed. Holes in the firewall must be patched. No gutting of hoods, deck lids, fenders, or structure of the body. Doors and post area can have some material removed for door bar clearance for the roll cage. All holes must be covered. Any holes in floors inside the car must be patched.
- Steering and Dashboard:
- Steering column must remain stock. Adding a maximum 6″ extension to the shaft or wheel and a quick-disconnect steering wheel is permitted.
- Dash: The complete dash can be removed/replaced with an aluminum top/front. The instrument panel must remain. All airbags in the car must be removed. Pedals must remain stock.
- Windshield: Stock windshield permitted. Lexan windshield permitted with 3 vertical bars added in front of the driver. No windshield is permitted with 3 vertical bars and a screen in front of the driver.
- Battery:
- Must be located behind the driver’s seat, placed in a secure box bolted in place. The battery itself must be held in place by a steel plate or bar with long bolts going to the floor, completely covered. Do not take this lightly; batteries are very heavy.
- Power/Fuel Pump Kill Switch:
- Full power/fuel pump kill switch is mandatory. Must be in the rear window opening on the deck, marked “ON” and “OFF,” and in plain sight for track crew. This is mandatory!
- Bumpers:
- The new 5 Star front bumper cover is permitted. Front and rear can be replaced with 1¾” round thin-wall tubing. Must be hollow, form-fitted, and curved back to fenders with a brace hooked to the frame. Any sharp edges or points must be addressed. A steel towing hoop or chains are required on the front. Push bumpers: If the car came factory with one, it must be removed. Chains or a strap must be mounted on the rear frame or bumper shocks to tow the car from the rear.
- Hood and Trunk Lid:
- Mandatory: The hood and trunk lid must have hood-type pins for easy access by track officials. No gutting of parts or bodies. Car weight will be checked at random times.
- Rear spoiler: Permitted if other than the factory LX Sports model. It must be clear Lexan, max 5″ tall from the top flat of the deck lid, no wider than the deck lid. Minimum of 4 braces from the rear of the spoiler to the deck lid, no front braces. No side wings going forward or rearward, no curls or lips—just flat Lexan facing upward.
- Tires:
- All-season tires only. All 4 tires must be the same size. These tire sizes only: 235/55/17, 225/60/16, 215/71/15. No high-performance tires, no directional tires, no autocross tires, no tire soaking or treating tires.
- No RSA tires permitted. A minimum tread wear of 400.
- Rims:
- Must be stock OEM rims manufactured for these types of cars. All 4 must be the same size and offset. No wheel spacers. No offset rims on cars 2001 and newer.
- Safety:
- A good-quality fire suit is mandatory. A Snell 2015 or newer approved car racing helmet is mandatory. Racing gloves and racing shoes are mandatory. A 1-channel one-way race receiver is mandatory for the tower to communicate with the driver, or you will be sent off the track.
